On April 2, 2023, Chilean visual artist Anita González, known for her creativity in modeling male torsos and voluptuous women or as she calls them: "my round ladies." For some time she had in mind to be able to materialize a reliquary, due to her fascination with relics "because they evoke the ancient, treasure stories and remind us of the past." Having fully developed her main idea, it was time to find a brand that shared her passion for art and aesthetics; that's how she contacted the Arte Blanco workshop.
At Arte Blanco, with Anita's ideas and vision, we took on the task of capturing them in a preliminary project, seeking to create a piece that was unique and personal, that reflected her own essence and style.
The piece is made up of minimalist lines, a soft colour palette, creating an interesting contrast between the old and the modern. The aquamarine stones are mounted symmetrically, each stone is unique, with slightly different shades that add depth and light.
The silver surrounding the aquamarine stones is smooth and polished, creating an interesting contrast with the rough texture of the rest of the lid. The interior of the locket is completely polished, with a soft shine that does not dazzle, but rather invites contemplation of what is contained within.
The collaboration between Anita and Arte Blanco Joyería proves that when creativity and passion come together, true works of art emerge. The “Anita locket” is a testament to the excellence and beauty that can be achieved when artistic vision and technical skill are combined.
